STORY ANALYSIS plus COVERAGE
Read your screenplay or series proposal and pilot script (up to 120 pages, standard format) or your manuscript (up to 300 double-spaced pages).
Analysis of what’s working, what’s not, and comments on how to improve it.
Standard studio style coverage includes Logline, Rating Table, Logline of the work, and +/- analyses in the following areas: Overall, Characters, Structure, Stakes, Conflict, Believability, Dialogue, Other, Budget, and Grade (Recommend, Recommend with Changes, or Pass).
Specific suggestions in each of the above categories.
PLUS! — Mythic aspects including your story’s Themes, information on Archetypes, analysis of and suggestions for your use of Symbols.
Includes one hour phone time, by appointment, or one hour on email responses to your questions. Or a mix of both to total one hour.

It includes a One-Hour phone Consultation where we talk about your ideas for your story, characters, mood and message, etc.
I then supply you with materials on an appropriate Mythic Theme, ArchePaths for more deeply developing your characters, and suggested Symbols, plus further research Suggestions.
We have a Follow-Up Discussion to answer any questions about these materials.

We can talk about your “writer’s voice”, theme and archetypes, plot and structure, characters and dialogue, symbols and images, format, etc.
I can also help you with the 4-part Creative Process so you can keep moving forward with your project, aware of the typical problems at various stages and how to avoid them.
Our approach can vary from script/manuscript reading with verbal and/or written feedback, to live conversations on phone, Zoom/Skype, or in person and any combination thereof that works best for you.
With this personal on-going approach you can:
- get inspiration and individualized guidance about your art
- gain new writing skills for different genres, styles, and formats
- polish the craft skills you already have
- receive encouragement for you as a creator and about your creative projects

Stealing Fire from Heaven, Search for the Soul-Mate, The Wake-up Call, Secret Identity, The Great Escape, Duty vs. Desire, Lost Love Rescued, Search for the Promised Land…these are just some of the powerful Mythic Themes you can use for your plots and sub-plots. You’ve probably already intuitively been working with a couple of these. Becoming more consciously focused on specific ones can significantly empower your story.
MYTHIC PLOT POINTS – [what should happen when] and suggestions for aligning YOUR STORY with this mythic content & structure. Using just a half dozen of the 10 or more Plot Points that appear in these timeless tales will align your unique story with the universal patterns. Use more and strengthen its appeal.
MYTHIC STATEMENTS – Subtext is great but sometimes you need to come right out and say what’s going on. This Consultation will identify what you do have and offer suggestions for what you could do to enhance these important aspects of your story. The Thematic Statement, Mission Statement, and Lesson Statement can be those lines people will love to quote.
CHARACTER ARCHETYPES – for your four [4] Main Characters. You need a Protagonist and Antagonist who are well-matched to assure dramatic conflict. Profiles include the character’s Mission, Hopes & Fears, Strengths & Weaknesses, Styles of Speech & Action, and more, plus examples from story and from real life.
SYMBOLS & IMAGES – analysis of the effectiveness of what you have. Further suggestions to better align with your Mythic Themes and Archetypes.
